The Mammoths carded a team score of 303 (+15) to lead the four-team field on the first day of the two-day, stroke-play tournament. Defending champion Williams is five strokes back at 308 (+20).
Huang tops the leaderboard with a 1-over 73 and Bakshi finished with a 2-over 74 after a round with four birdies. First-year
Gihoe Seo is tied for fourth with a 5-over 77 after shooting 2 under par on the back nine. Junior
Janelle Jin is tied for eighth with a 7-over 79.
The Mammoths and the rest of the field will play 18 holes on Sunday (May 1) to decide the NESCAC champion. Tee times begin at 9 a.m.
