CLAREMONT, CA – The Amherst College women's tennis team traveled to Pauley Tennis Complex, the home of the #3 Pomona-Pitzer Sagehens, for their second dual match of the Spring season on Tuesday.
The #9 Mammoths were off to a dominant start after the doubles matches, with 2 out of 3 wins against the #3 Sagehens, including a close 8-7 (7-5) win for
Julia Lendel '24 and
Deliala Friedman '25 at the #2 doubles spot. However, the Sagehens made up their ground during the singles matches, with 5 wins from 6 matches, to continue their streak of 4 straight wins against top-10 ranked teams.

The Amherst College women's tennis team move to a record of 1-2 in dual matches, and look to improve this in their next match against Pomona-Pitzer's neighbors, #4 Claremont-Mudd-Scripps (CMS). Amherst will take on CMS at the Biszantz Family Tennis Center in Claremont, CA, on Wednesday at 1 PM est. This will be the Mammoths' third of four matches in California over this week's spring break period, with Amherst taking on nationally-ranked teams in each match.
