PHILADELPHIA, Penn. --
Nate Mossé and
Andrew Leung fashioned come-from-behind victories Sunday to help the Amherst College men's squash team clip top-seeded St. Lawrence University, 5-4, in the third-place match of the CSA Summers Cup at the Penn Squash Center on the campus of the University of Pennsylvania.
The victory ended the Mammoth's season with a 12-9 record. They will turn their attention to the CSA Individual Nationals Championships at the Specter US Squash Center back in Philadelphia, Pa. The individual championships will run from March 4-6. The Saints fell to 15-9 overall.
MATCH HIGHLIGHTS:
* The score was 4-3 in favor of St. Lawrence and with
Mossé going to a fifth-and-deciding game at #6. He took a good deal of the drama out of the match by winning decisively 11-3 and bringing the match even. Leung had an easier time on the deciding match at #8. He did drop the first game, 11-8, but rallied to win three straight games, 11-7, 11-1, and 11-6, to secure his win and the Mammoths' team win as well.

Adam Lichtmacher picked up a win for Amherst at #2, defeating Nathan Mead in four games. Lichtmacher lost the first game 11-8, then, like Leung, won three straight games, 12-10, 11-5 and 11-7.

Abhi Gupta picked up a win at #5, winning in four after also dropping the opening game. He rallied from a 13-11 loss in the first game and then won games by 11-8, 11-5 and 11-6.
* At #9,
Pavan Nagaraj earned a 3-0 sweep with game scores of 11-9, 11-8, 11-3.
