Malani, Sankuratri win in straight sets as #17 Amherst captures 7-2 win at #26 Colby

WATERVILLE, Maine – Sophomores Neal Malani and Yeshwin Sankuratri won in straight sets to help lead the Amherst College men's squash team to a 7-2 win at 26th-ranked Colby College on Wednesday evening at the Alfond Athletics and Recreation Center.

Junior Nate Mossé battled back from a two-set deficit to earn a five-set win at the No. 8 spot with a score of 6-11, 8-11, 14-12, 11-1, 11-9, and classmate Adam Lichtmacher also went the distance to earn a five-set win. Sophomore Kedar Nagaraj, senior captain Charles Sutherby and first-year Matthew Granovsky each earned 3-1 wins.

The Mammoths (3-3), ranked 17th in the nation in the latest CSA rankings, are back in action on Thursday (Jan. 13) at 5 p.m., wrapping up a three-day swing through Maine with another matchup between NESCAC squads at 21st-ranked Bates. The Mules (1-3) host Hobart on Saturday.
