Box Score CLINTON, N.Y. – Junior Emily Masten scored her first goal of the season in the 31st minute of play as the 19th-ranked Amherst women's soccer team played Hamilton College to a 1-1 double overtime draw in Saturday afternoon's NESCAC matchup on Love Field.

GAME HIGHLIGHTS
- The Continentals struck first, getting on the scoreboard 18:22 into play. After an Amherst defender broke up an attempted pass inside the box, Ali Clark found the ball in a scramble in front of the net and blasted a shot into the back left of the goal.
- The Purple & White evened the contest just over 13 minutes later at the 31:02-mark. Ashlyn Heller '17 would record her first assist of the year, sending a ball across the box to the head of Masten who redirected the ball into the back corner of the net.
- The final 79 minutes of action featured scoreless play as neither team could find the back of the net despite having notable offensive opportunities.
- The Continentals nearly stole the game in the 92nd minute, but Holly Burwick '16 was up to the task and made an incredible save to keep the game at a 1-1 deadlock. Getting behind the Amherst defense, Hannah Withiam earned a 1v0 shot from inside the penalty hash, however Burwick came rushing out and was able to deflect the shot away from the goal.
- Hamilton held a narrow advantage in corner kicks, 7-6.
- Burwick registered nine saves in 110 minutes of action, while Masten led the Purple & White with two shots in the outing.
- Rachel Cooley made one save for the Continentals, while Hannah Withiam put a game leading seven shots on net.
