Katie Litman scored the Ephs first four points to give the home team a 4-3 lead within the first 2:45 to play, but a three-pointer by Peterson on Amherst's next possession put the Jeffs ahead at the 15:38 mark as they never looked back.

Trailing by seven, a lay-up by Caveney cut the deficit to five in the closing minutes but a lay-up by Robertson at the 1:49 mark sparked a 9-0 Amherst run as they went ahead by 14. A jumper by Macdonald snapped the streak with 18 seconds to play, but the Jeffs took a 26-14 advantage into the break.

Williams rallied early in the second half and outscored the Jeffs, 11-2, within the first 5:36 to play as they trailed by three, 28-25. It remained a single-digit margin for much of the period until a jumper by Robertson put the visitor's back up by 10 with 8:49 to play in regulation.

Later in the half, with 2:22 remaining, the Ephs cut the lead to nine following a lay-up by Amanni Fernandez, but the Jeffs scored the next four points to go back up by 13. The visitors went 6-for-7 from the free throw line in the final minute to seal the 65-51 win.
