'Baseball in Japan: Sport, Society, and Culture'

The Amherst College baseball team is hosting a lecture given by Bill Kelly '68, titled: "Baseball in Japan: Sport, Society, and Culture" on Saturday, May 3 from 6:45 - 8 p.m. in Pruyne Lecture Hall (Fayerweather Hall). Kelly is the Professor of Anthropology and Sumitomo Professor of Japanese Studies at Yale University. The event is part of the Amherst College/Doshisha University Baseball Cultural Exchange (in which the baseball team will be traveling to Japan from August 3 -16, 2014). The event is open to the student body, professors and to the public. Admission is free of charge.
