AMHERST, Massachusetts -- Righthander Allison Schwarting (Los Angeles, CA) added two more wins to her record as the Jeffs posted two wins against Little III foe Wesleyan. She threw a one-hitter in an 8-0 shutout to start the afternoon before a 13-2 rout. Both games were called early by the 8-run mercy-rule.
Beth Leonard (Longmeadow, MA) went 3-3 in game two for the Jeffs, pounding out two singles, a double, two runs and 2 RBI.
The Jeffs better their record to 12-3 while the Cardinals fall to 7-8. Amherst next hosts WNEC for two games on Saturday while Wesleyan finishes its Little III season at Williams for a doubleheader.
