Cody Pierce and
Myeh Medina each won NESCAC championships on the track and have been named Amherst's Student-Athletes of the Month for April.
Pierce won two conference titles to help the Mammoths win their first NESCAC Men's Track and Field Championship.
Pierce won the conference championship in the 400m with a personal-best time of 47.11, tied for the ninth-best time in Division III this season. He was also part of the 4x100m relay team that won the NESCAC title with a time of 40.92 seconds to break the meet and school records and win Amherst's first-ever championship in the event. Pierce helped the Mammoths earn points towards their team title in two other events with a fourth-place finish in the 4x400m relay and a fifth-place finish in the 200m.
A statistics major from Linwood, New Jersey, Pierce racked up 10 All-NESCAC honors in his four-year career, including four straight in the 4x100m relay, and is a three-time All-American, including a runner-up finish at this year's NCAA Indoor Championships as part of Amherst's distance medley relay team.
Medina won the NESCAC title in the 100m hurdles and finished second in the 400m hurdles at the NESCAC Championships.

Anastasia Ioppolo in the final to continue Amherst's recent run of dominance in the event with the fourth title in the last five years for the Mammoths.
A captain of the women's track and field team, Medina broke the Amherst school record in the 400m hurdles by more than a second, posting a time of 1:00.08 to earn All-NESCAC honors with a runner-up finish in the event with a time that ranked fifth in the nation in Division III this season. She also raced on the 4x400m relay team that earned points with a sixth-place finish, helping the Mammoths finish third in the team standings.
The New York native and computer science major finished her NESCAC Championships career with five career All-NESCAC finishes in the hurdles events. Medina is a three-time All-American, earning All-America honors in the 400m hurdles each of the last two years and as part of Amherst's distance medley relay team at this year's NCAA Indoor Championships.
