AMHERST, Mass. - Six student-athletes across four Amherst women's teams were named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District At-Large, it was announced today. Seniors
Natalie Stott (Franklin, Mass.) and
Gretchen Dann (Hanover, N.H) from women's ice hockey, seniors
Emily Petersen (Mountain Lakes, N.J.) and
Kate Becker (Princeton, N.J.) from women's lacrosse, junior
Maya Harrington (Highland Village, Texas) from field hockey, and sophomore
Joelle Kim (Los Altos, Calif.) from women's golf all received the recognition.
Formerly known as the College Sports Information Directors of America (COSIDA), the CSC divides the NCAA institutions into nine geographic districts, with Amherst being located in District One. To be nominated, student-athletes must be a significant contributor to their team with at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) at his current institution. For ice hockey, field hockey, and lacrosse players, nominees must have competed in 90 percent of the team's total games played or have started 66 percent of the team's total games. In golf, nominees must have competed in 70 percent of the team's total events that were team scoring events.
Stott, an economics and psychology double major, earned her third straight At-Large All-District nod in her final year with the Mammoths. She closed out her historic collegiate career by becoming the NCAA Division III leader in career shutouts (46) and wins (86) during her senior season. Stott appeared in 29 games, allowing a total of 21 goals all season, leading the NCAA in shutouts (12), goals allowed against (0.713), and save percentage (0.970). She continued to rack up the accolades by earning four consecutive nods to the ACHA/CCM All-American East First Team, DIII Hockey News All-East First Team the last two seasons, NEHWA All-Star four times, NEHWA MVP the last two seasons, NESCAC Rookie of the Year in 2023, three All-NESCAC First Team nods, one All-NESCAC Second Team nod, and five NESCAC Player of the Week awards in her four years with Amherst.
Dann, a film and media studies major, earned her second consecutive At-Large All-District nod in her final season in the Pioneer Valley. She led the Mammoths with 15 goals scored and seven game-winning goals and sat in third with 11 assists on the season. Dann led the NESCAC in shots with 172 shots attempted and in plus/minus at +29. She racked up the accolades in her career in Amherst with ACHA/CCM All-American East First Team twice, DIII Hockey News All-East First Team the last two seasons, NEHWA All-Star in her junior and senior seasons, back-to-back NESCAC Defensive Player of the Year Awards, back-to-back All-NESCAC First Team selections, and two NESCAC Player of the Week nods in her time with the Mammoths.
Petersen, an economics major, collected her second straight At-Large All-District nod in her senior season with Amherst. She was named an All-American by the IWLCA and USA Lacrosse the last two seasons, two All-Region nods by the IWLCA, and back-to-back nods to the All-NESCAC First Team. This past season, Petersen led the way in goals scored with 48 goals, which included three game winning goals and nine free position goals. She also led the way for draw controls with 83.
Becker, a law, jurisprudence, and social thought major, earned her first nod to the At-Large All-District in her final season with the Mammoths. She racked up accolades this season with an All-Region nod by the IWLCA and her first All-NESCAC selection to the Second Team. Becker led the team in points (59) and assists (50) and also contributed to the scoring with nine goals, with one being the game winning goal.
Harrington, a political science and statistics double major, earned her first At-Large All-District in her junior season in the Pioneer Valley. She earned her first All-NESCAC selection this fall onto the Second Team and was also tabbed to the NFHCA All-Region Second Team. Harrington scored two goals, including a game winning goal, and assisted on two goals showing her versatility as a defender.
Kim, an English and political science double major, notched her first At-Large All-District in her sophomore season in Amherst. She wrapped up her sophomore year with adding an All-American Honorable Mention and All-Region nods from the WGCA. She earned her second All-NESCAC First Team selection earlier this year. Kim finished ranked within the top 30 nationally and had a strong showing at the NCAA Championships on the individual side.Â
Women's Ice Hockey finished the 2025-26 season with a 21-3-6 record. The Mammoths won their second straight NESCAC Championship and made their third NCAA Frozen Four in the last four seasons.
Women's Lacrosse finished the 2026 season with a 13-5 record. They made it to the NESCAC Quarterfinals and hosted the NCAA First & Second Rounds for the second consecutive season. Women's Lacrosse closed their season out in the NCAA Sweet Sixteen.
Field Hockey finished the 2025 campaign with a 9-9 record and made it to the NESCAC Quarterfinals. They earned their first At-Large Bid into the NCAA Tournament since 2011.
Women's Golf closed out the 2025-26 campaign winning the NESCAC Championship and placing seventh in the NCAA Championships.
