AMHERST, MA. – Junior thrower Alex MacDonald (Sewickley, Pa.) has been named NESCAC Men's Field Athlete of the Week, as announced by the conference today.

At the Sean Collier Invitational at MIT this this past weekend, MacDonald posted a throw of 45.84 meters (150 feet, 5 inches) to finish second in the discus. That mark currently ranks 10th in Division III.

MacDonald and the Mammoths are moving into the final stretch of the season this weekend, competing at NESCAC Championships this weekend. Competition will start on Saturday, April 25 and continue through Sunday, April 26.
