MEDFORD, Mass. — The Amherst College women's track and field team delivered a strong performance at the Tufts 7-Way meet, headlined by individual event victories from Piper Lentz and Leila Bata. The Mammoths continued to build momentum toward the championship season, with several athletes securing season-best marks and strengthening their positions on the regional leader board.
Distance and Middle Distance Dominance

1000m Run: Piper Lentz took the top spot in the 1000m, winning the event with a time of 2:57.32. This performance marks another Auto-Qualifying standard for Lentz, adding to her national-tier ranking in the 1000m.

600m Run: Leila Bata claimed first place in the 600m dash, crossing the line in 1:37.59 to secure an Provisional Qualifying standard for the New England DIII (NED3) Championships.

800m Run: Maya Levine finished as the runner-up in the 800m, recording a time of 2:21.99 to hit the Provisional Qualifying standard.

3000m Run: Flora Biro and Ava Thomas led the Mammoths in the 3000m, placing fifth (10:11.78) and sixth (10:12.57), respectively. Both runners secured Provisional Qualifying marks.
Sprints and Field Highlights

Sprint Double for Hubley: Rachel Hubley enjoyed a standout day, recording season-best performances in both the 60m and 200m dashes. She placed third in the 60m final with a time of 8.06 and third in the 200m dash in 26.30.

60m Dash: Camilla Lash also reached the 60m final, finishing sixth with a time of 8.48.

Shot Put: Tess Adams followed up her strong performance from earlier this season with a second-place finish in the shot put. Her throw of 11.56m (37' 11.25") earned her another Provisional Qualifying mark.
UP NEXT: The Mammoths will split the squad for a massive double-header on February 13-14. Half the team will travel to the high-banked track at Boston University for the Valentine Invitational, while the rest of the squad will return to Medford for the Tufts Cupid Challenge & Multi.
