NEW LONDON, Conn. -- Amherst College senior Donna Zhang and first-year Brooke Ronan finished 2nd and 4th in the 1-meter board, respectively, at the NCAA Div. III Region 3 Diving Championships Friday. afternoon at Connecticut College, 

Zhang compiled 440.55 points on the day, placing second overall, only 1.75 points away from MIT's Flora Berahtahani, who won the 1-meter championship. Ronan compiled 427.45 points on the day, placing fourth in er collegiate diving championship. 

The championship competition concludes on Saturday, Feb. 28 with the women's three-meter championship and the men's one-meter championship.
