#14 Mammoth men dispatch Dickinson, 8-1

AMHERST, MA — The Amherst College men's squash team successfully returned to action on Wednesday. The Mammoths hosted Dickinson College at the Davenport Squash Courts, and came up on top with a 8-1victory. Wednesday's dual match was their first since November when they swept Connecticut College 9-0. With Wednesday's victory over Dickinson, the Amherst men's squash team remained undefeated in the 2025-2026 season, and improved their record to 3-0. 

The Mammoths are currently standing as the #19 team in the nation, and Dickinson College is at #25, so a 8-1 victory is a strong performance from the Mammoths.

GAME HIGHLIGHTS: 
  • Aiden Shap only lost 2 points in his match at the #9 singles spot against Adam Warburton of Dickinson. His match was the quickest today, only lasting for 14 minutes. 
  • Joseph Toth, at the #3 singles spot against William Krizek was able to win in straight sets after very close sets in the second and third (12-10, and 14-12).

 UP NEXT: 
Amherst extended their record to 3-0 (2-0 against NESCAC opponents) and will have a couple of days to prepare for their next dual match against Navy. The Mammoths will host the United States Naval Academy on January 10th, at 2:00 PM at the Davenport Squash Courts.
