#13 Mammoths blank F&M, 9-0

AMHERST, MA — The Amherst College women's squash team hosted their third consecutive home match on Sunday. After Saturday's strong victory over Georgetown University, they maintained momentum and came up on top on Sunday against Franklin and Marshall College. The final score for the day was 9-0, with no sets lost. The 2-0 weekend for the Mammoths extends their winning streak to 5, and their record to 5-0. 

Amherst has only faced two NESCAC opponents so far, and will play one more match against Princeton before they step foot on a court with their next NESCAC opponent, Tufts University on Tuesday, January 13th. Monday, January 12th's match against Princeton University will be a great test for the in-form Mammoths that are currently ranked #13. 

Sunday's opponent, Franklin and Marshall College is currently ranked at #27

GAME HIGHLIGHTS: 
  • Many Mammoths won their matches in quick fashion. Every match finished in under 20 minutes with Clara Dawn and Brigid Brandon finishing in just 10 minutes
  • The Mammoths won 28 out of 28 sets in their third 9-0 sweep of the season.

* Amherst will host a team for the fourth consecutive match on Monday, January 12th. This time they will face the #4 team in the nation, Princeton University. The matches against the Tigers will kick off at 12:00 PM, at the Davenport Squash Courts. Amherst now has a 5-0 record in the 2025-2026 season.
