AMHERST, MA — The Amherst College women's squash team had another successful match on the courts on Saturday. The Mammoths hosted Georgetown at the Davenport Squash Courts, and edged an extremely close 5-4 victory. Saturday's match was their second match for the 2026 calendar year, and their fourth for the season. With Saturday's victory over Georgetown, the Amherst women's squash team remained undefeated in the 2025-2026 season, and improved their record to 4-0.
The Mammoths are currently standing as the #13 team in the nation, while the Hoyas are at #14. With this result, the Mammoths show a strong result that should benefit their ranking.
GAME HIGHLIGHTS:
- Alexandra Brown came away with the quickest win today. Alexandra Brown bested Mary Kacergis with the score of 11-6, 11-5, 11-9, in 21 minutes.
- Quincy Cline won her singles match against Cecilia Curran in the #1 singles spot, in the deciding set, 11-5, 14-16, 6-11, 12-10, 11-8. Quincy Cline's match took 54 minutes.
