CAMBRIDGE, Mass. -- The 4x100m and 4x400m relay teams set program records while junior
Piper Lentz established a new school record in the 800m at the MIT Final Qualifier.
The top 22 individuals and top 16 relays will advance to the NCAA Championship on Thursday, May 22 through Saturday, May 24, hosted at the SPIRE Institute's Outdoor Track & Field facility in Geneva, Ohio. The official NCAA qualifier list will be released tomorrow, May 16 at 8 p.m. EST.Â
MEET HIGHLIGHTS:
* After breaking the program record last week, setting the new record to 46.88, the quartet of sophomores
Rachel Hubley and
Camilla Lash, first-year
Ellie Jolly, and sophomoreÂ
Héloïse Hughes registered a time of 46.62 to surpass their own record.Â
* In the 800m, Lentz placed fourth delivering a time of 2:08.21, a personal record by over 2.5 seconds. This surpasses the previous record of 2:08.98 set by Danielle Griffin '18 in 2018. Sophomore
Zoë Marcus placed sixth posting a season best of 2:11.96.Â
* The 4x400m relay team of sophomore
Christa Prasertsintanah, Lentz, junior
Myeh Medina, and senior
Casie Eifrig produced a runner-up finish crossing the line in 3:47.91. This surpasses the previous record by over three seconds, beating the record of 3:50.95 set by Prasertsintanah, senior
Eliza Cardwell, Medina, and Eifrig in 2024.Â
* Cardwell placed sixth in the 100m hurdles with a time of 14.48 and advancing to the final round where she placed sixth by recording a time of 14.62.
* In her fourth attempt, sophomore
Emma Ramsingh posted a season best of 45.37 in the discus, placing third overall.Â
