Héloïse Hughes established a new program record as the Amherst College women's track and field team competed on the second day of the Farley Inter-Regional Extravaganza on Saturday.
Select individuals will compete on Thursday, May 15 at the MIT Final Qualifier to secure final qualification marks for the NCAA Championships.
MEET HIGHLIGHTS:
* Hubley, Lash, Jolly, and Hughes crossed the line setting a new record of 46.88. This surpasses the previous record of 47.11 that was set earlier this season by Hubley, Lash, senior
Eliza Cardwell, and Hughes.
* Cardwell placed second in the 100m hurdle prelims with a time of 14.62, advancing to the 100m hurdle finals placing second overall by crossing the line in 14.80.
* In the 100m prelims, Hughes recorded a personal record of 11.95, placing third overall and progressing to the 100m final where the sophomore placed third running 11.98. Hughes went on to win the 200m, delivering a personal record of 24.51.

Zoë Marcus produced a season best of 2:13.37 in the 800m placing sixth overall.
* Junior
Myeh Medina placed third in the 400m hurdles, clocking in a time of 1:04.14.
* The 4x400m relay team of sophomore

Piper Lentz, and senior
Casie Eifrig placed third overall posting a time of 3:52.38.
* First-year
Hannah Stephenson won the 5000m, notching nearly a 20-second personal best of 16:34.49.
* First-year
Flora Biro won the 10000m, running over 1:18 faster than her previous personal record with a time of 35:29.61.
* In the field, sophomore
Leah Smith placed as the runner up in the high jump with a personal best mark of 1.63m.
* Senior
Anaya Thomas placed sixth in the triple jump with a mark of 11.07m.
* Sophomore
Emma Ramsingh threw a season best mark of 43.29 in the discus, placing third overall.
