CAMBRIDGE, Mass. -- Senior
Casie Eifrig established a new program record in the 400m as Amherst College women's track and field team competed in the second day of the Sean Collier Invitational on Saturday.
This concludes the regular season for Amherst as they will return to action in a week on Saturday, April 26 for the NESCAC Championship, hosted by Wesleyan University at 9 a.m.
MEET HIGHLIGHTS:
* Eifrig finished as the runner up in the 400m, delivering a time of 56.77. This surpasses the previous school record of 56.91 set by Eifrig in 2024. First-year
Leila Bata placed 10th in the 400m with a time of 1:01.62.
* In the 1500m, first-year
Taylor Gudebski placed fifth overall setting an new personal record by over 22 seconds finishing in 4:48.81 while classmate
Daniella Perez-Cartaya placed 10th with a time of 4:53.88.
* Senior
Eliza Cardwell recorded a season best of 14.42 in the 100m hurdles placing second overall while classmate
Anaya Thomas posted a season best of 15.16 finishing in fifth. Senior
Olivia Steele finished eighth overall with a personal-best time of 15.73.
* Sophomore
Camilla Lash finished seventh in the 100m, crossing the line with a personal best of 12.54 before placing seventh in the 200m with a personal record of 25.88.
* In the 800m, first-year
Hannah Adhikari delivered a seventh-place finish with a personal record of 2:17.87.
* Junior
Madison Rabb placed sixth in the 400m hurdles posting a time of 1:09.27.
* In the pole vault, senior
Payton Sorensen recorded a height of 3.43m which was good for sixth place.
* First-year
Madison Vant threw a personal best of 36.54m in the javelin, finishing fourth overall while junior
Morgan Rome placed eighth with a mark of 34.08m.
* In the discus, sophomore
Emma Ramsingh notched a distance of 36.63m placing sixth while sophomore
Isabella Niemi placed ninth with a throw of 33.39m.
* Ramsingh produced a seventh-place season-best performance of 11.12m in the shot put.
