CAMBRIDGE, Mass. -- Senior
David Brown finished as the runner up in the discus as the Amherst College men's track and field on the second day of the Sean Collier Invitational hosted by MIT on Saturday.
This concludes the regular season for the Mammoths as they will return to the track in a week on Saturday, April 26 for the NESCAC Championship, hosted by Wesleyan University at 9 a.m.
MEET HIGHLIGHTS:
* In the 110m hurdles, sophomore Michael Gerfen placed ninth overall crossing the line with a personal record of 15.84.

Kean Tanyi-Tang recorded a fourth-place finish in the 400m with a personal best time of 49.82.
* In the 100m, junior
Cody Pierce finished sixth overall clocking in a personal best time of 10.72 before placing third in the 200m recording a season best of 21.62.
* Senior
Alex Robin placed ninth in the high jump posting a height of 1.83m.
* Sophomore
Alec Kuzyk recorded a third-place finish in the pole vault with a mark of 4.42m.
* Brown placed fourth in the shot put throwing a season best mark of 13.35m before finishing as the runner up in the discus with a throw of 43.23m.

Gavin Schmidt, sophomore
Alex MacDonald, and classmate
Jacob Shine placed fifth, sixth, and eighth, respectively throwing distances of 40.27m, 39.73m, and 39.25m.

Santi Benbow placed third in the javelin, registering a personal best of 54.90m while Robin threw a mark of 43.67 finishing in 10th place.
