AMHERST, Mass. -- The Amherst College men's track and field 4x100m relay team of
Kean Tanyi-Tang,
Cody Pierce,
Alexander Nichols, and
Jordan Harrison finished first in the field at the Julie LaFreniere Commonwealth Invitational hosted by UMass Amherst on Sunday.
The Mammoths will resume competition on Saturday, April 19 at the Sean Collier Invitational hosted by MIT at 10 a.m.
MEET HIGHLIGHTS:
* Starting the day strong for Amherst, the 4x100m relay team won the event registering a time of 42.03.
* Senior
Nick Edwards-Levin finished as the top Mammoth in the 1500m, placing 11th out of 65 finishers registering a time of 4:01.65.
* Pierce placed sixth in the 400m, clocking in a time of 49.09 while Tanyi-Tang finished 12th with a time of 50.10.
* Harrison crossed the line in eighth place in the 100m with a time of 10.73 while Nichols placed 11th recording a time of 10.87.
* In the 110m hurdles, junior Noah Harris placed seventh overall posting a time of 15.65 while first-year
Christoph Osselmann-Chai placed ninth notching a personal best time of 15.93.
* Pierce finished eighth overall in the 200m, delivering a time of 21.94.
