Mammoths wrap up NCAA Championships with 21st-place finish in 400 free relay

GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Amherst College men's swimming and diving team placed 21st in the 400-yard freestyle relay to highlight action on the final day of the NCAA Division III Championships at the Greensboro Aquatic Center on Saturday

First-year Jack Goepfrich, junior Ethan Van De Water, and seniors Jaden Olson and Andrew Yuen clocked in at 3:01.94 in the preliminaries to finish 21st in the nation in the final collegiate swim for Olson and Yuen.

Goepfrich also finished 48th in the 100-yard freestyle, touching in 45.79 seconds in the preliminaries.

The Mammoths finished the meet with three All-America finishes to earn 12 points in the team standings and tie for 38th place, scoring at the national championship meet in back-to-back years. Denison won its first championship since 2019 with 463.5 points.
