GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Amherst College men's swimming and diving team earned All-America honors in the 200-yard medley relay to highlight action on the third day of the NCAA Division III Championships at the Greensboro Aquatic Center on Friday.

Ethan Van De Water posted a time of 1:28.75 in the preliminaries to qualify for the consolation final, then touched in 1:29.34 in the final to place 15th in the nation and earn Second Team All-America honors, awarded to the 9th through 16th place finishers in each event. It was the first career All-America finish for Yuen, Nadel and Van De Water, and second of the meet for Olson.
Nadel also placed 25th in the 100-yard breaststroke, clocking in at 55.17 seconds in the preliminaries.
Entering the final day of competition, the Mammoths have tallied 12 points to rank 37th in the team standings. Denison leads the meet with 298 points, 47.5 points ahead of three-time defending champion Emory.
The national championship meet concludes on Saturday (March 22) with the final day of preliminaries at 10 a.m. and the finals session at 6 p.m. The final day of action is slated to feature Olson and first-year
Jack Goepfrich in the 100-yard freestyle before the meet wraps up with the 400-yard freestyle relay.
