BOSTON -- The Amherst College men's track and field team posted nine New England Division III Championship qualifying performances at the David Hemery Valentine Invitational hosted by Boston University on Friday.
Amherst will return to the track tomorrow at the Tufts Invitational on Saturday, February 15 at 10 a.m.
MEET HIGHLIGHTS:
* In the 60m hurdle prelims, first-year
Keason Ky set a personal record of 8.50 seconds which was good for 10th place while junior
Noah Kanahele Harris posted a personal best of 8.55 seconds.
* Junior
Jordan Harrison placed 10th out of 61 athletes in the 60m prelims crossing the line in 7.04 seconds.
* In the 200m, junior
Cody Pierce tied his school record of 21.75 to finish 14th overall.
* Junior
Ben Davis registered a personal best in the 800m, crossing the line in 1:51.08.
* Senior
Nick Edwards-Levin produced over a five-second personal record in the 3000m, finishing in 8:21.98.
* Sophomore
Michael Abbey Jr. placed third in the long jump tying his season best of 6.58m while first-year
Matt Kasper placed ninth overall with a jump of 6.08m.
