GAME HIGHLIGHTS
- On an Amherst penalty kill with 6:25 remaining in the first period, Amherst's Gretchen Dann cleared the puck out of the zone for Xu to skate onto behind Wesleyan's net. Xu fired the initial shot for Maeve Reynolds to come in from the slot for the rebound, nearly scoring a shorthanded goal.
- With 13:06 remaining, Dann fired a wrist shot from the left point, forcing a save from Cardinal goaltender Jenna Guglielmi. Flynn skated into the slot for the rebound, but the puck sailed wide of the right post. Moments later, in a crease scramble, Flynn tapped the puck left of Guglielmi, where Xu redirected it in for the Mammoths' first goal.
- After Dann's defensive clear, Flynn chased down the puck and pressured Wesleyan's defense, intercepting it near the Cardinal's net. Xu collected the loose puck and fed it back to Flynn, who was positioned in the crease, where she tapped it in with 56.9 seconds left in the game.
- Cardinal Aimee Seppenwolde fired a shot from the right point on a Wesleyan power play, but it was blocked and sent wide. Christina Tournas retrieved the puck behind Amherst's net and fed it to Amelia Moline in the low slot.
