CORTLAND, N.Y. – Senior Priya Bakshi shot even par to tie for second and lead the Amherst College women's golf team to a third-place finish in the Cortland Martin/Wallace Invitational on Sunday at the par-72 Cortland Country Club.

The reigning NESCAC champion Mammoths, currently ranked 14th in the nation in the WGCA Division III poll and the Clippd rankings, shot a team total of 303 (+15) to place third out of 15 teams in an event that was shortened to one round after rain washed out Saturday's action. Williams won the event with a 297 (+9) team score.

Bakshi's even-par round of 72 tied for second in the field of 86 golfers, one stroke behind NYU junior Nalinda Wanikpun, who earned medalist honors.

Sophomore Lindsey Huang shot a 2-over 74 to tie for fifth overall. First-year Annabelle Chen came in with a 5-over 77 to tie for 18th and sophomore Kaia Wu carded an 8-over 80 to claim 29th place.

The Mammoths return to action next weekend, hosting the Jack Leaman Invitational at The Orchards Golf Club in South Hadley, Massachusetts, on Saturday and Sunday (April 20-21). Tee times begin at 1 p.m. on Saturday.
