ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Senior Mary Kate McGranahan of the Amherst College women's track and field team finished 11th in the nation in the 3000m steeplechase on Saturday at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Championships at St. John Fisher University's Polisseni Track and Field.

McGranahan ran a time of 10:57.33 to place 11th in the final in her final race for the Mammoths before graduating tomorrow. Wartburg junior Aubrie Fisher won the race in 10:15.34. It was the first career national championship appearance on the track for McGranahan, who was an All-American in cross country this fall.

McGranahan's 11th-place finish was the best for the Amherst women's track and field program at an NCAA Championship this season, concluding the season on the final day of the NCAA Outdoor Championships.
