ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Sophomore
Eliza Cardwell of the Amherst College women's track and field team finished 13th in the nation in the 100m hurdles on Friday at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Championships at St. John Fisher University's Polisseni Track and Field.
Cardwell ran a time of 14.08 seconds in the preliminaries, an all-conditions personal-best though not eligible for records due to a 2.3 m/s tailwind. Only the top eight advance to Saturday's final so Cardwell concludes the season placed 13th in the nation, improving on her 18th-place finish from last year.
The national championships conclude on Saturday (May 27) and senior
Mary Kate McGranahan will be the final Mammoth competing on the women's side as she races in the final of the 3000m steeplechase at 12:45 p.m.
