CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – A small contingent from the Amherst College women's track and field team closed out the regular season in competition at the MIT Final Qualifier on Thursday at the Steinbrenner Track, seeking one last chance to qualify for the NCAA Division III Championships.
Ultimately, none of the marks from Thursday's event ranked in the top 25 nationally. The top 22 entrants in each individual event and top 16 marks in each relay will qualify for the NCAA Division III Championships, with selections announced on Friday (May 19).
As results come in from the final day of qualifying meets, sophomore
Eliza Cardwell sits in the top 20 in both the 100m hurdles and 400m hurdles, senior
Mary Kate McGranahan is 18th in the 3000m steeplechase and junior
Carolina Andrade ranks 20th in the javelin.
MEET HIGHLIGHTS:
* McGranahan finished second in the steeplechase in 10:50.08.
* Andrade placed fourth in the javelin with a throw of 37.95m and first-year
Morgan Rome placed seventh with a mark of 32.72m.

Margo Pedersen finished 10th in 2:22.53.
