DEDHAM, Mass. – For the third time this season, the Amherst College men's track and field team set a new school record in the 4x100m relay, highlighting action on the final day of the two-day NEICAAA Championships on Saturday at Northeastern University's Solomon Track.
The Mammoths took home All-NEICAAA honors, awarded to the top eight finishers in each event, in five events on Saturday after first-year
Henry Dennen placed in the 5000m on Friday.
In the team standings, Amherst's contingent finished tied for 11th place out of 53 teams across all three NCAA divisions. Division I Rhode Island claimed the top spot on the leaderboard with 111 points.
The next opportunity for the Mammoths to post qualifying marks for the NCAA Championships comes on Wednesday (May 17), when Amherst will take part in the Williams Final Qualifier at 5 p.m.

Jordan Harrison once again teamed up to improve their program-best mark in the 4x100m relay. The quartet set a new mark of 41.46 seconds, besting their previous mark of 41.55 set last month at the NESCAC Championships. The Mammoths finished third in the event, netting All-NEICAAA honors, which are awarded to the top eight finishers in each event.
* Harrison also finished second in the 100m dash with a time of 10.65 seconds. Harrison was the top Division III sprinter and the top first-year in the field, finishing one-tenth of a second behind senior Noah Sweeney of Division I Northeastern.
* The 4x400m squad also posted an All-NEICAAA finish as senior

Ben Davis and Pierce placed fifth with a time of 3:18.19, a season-best for the Mammoths.
* Davis ran the 800m in a personal-best 1:52.60 to finish sixth in his NEICAAA debut.
* Sophomore
Alex Robin posted a personal-best decathlon score of 5,231 points to place seventh at his first NEICAAA competition. Robin won the pole vault segment with a personal-best mark of 4.20m and also set a personal best in the discus at 26.08m.
