#5 Williams knocks #22 Amherst out of NESCAC Championship, 5-0

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. – On Friday afternoon, the #5 Williams College Ephs knocked the #22 Amherst College men's tennis team out of the NESCAC Championship with a 5-0 win in the Quarterfinals on the Hunt Tennis Courts.

The Mammoths conclude the 2023 season with a 10-7 record, the 18th straight season in which Amherst posted a winning record. The Mammoths' national ranking stands at #22.

HIGHLIGHTS:
  • Williams swept the doubles to give the Ephs a 3-0 lead.
  • At the #2 and #3 spots, Williams earned the two wins they needed to clinch the match.
  • Four of the singles matches ended unfinished, with the Mammoths a set up in three of them.
