MEDFORD, Mass. – The Amherst College men's track and field team competed at the Tufts National Qualifying Meet on Saturday at the Gantcher Center with one last chance to qualify for the national championships.

The top 20 in each individual event and the top 12 teams in each relay will earn a berth in the NCAA Division III Indoor Championships, to be held March 10-11 in Birmingham, Alabama.

Selections will be announced tomorrow (Sunday, March 5) at 7 p.m. As results trickle in from the final day of competition, the Mammoths in the best positions to qualify are sophomore Camden Heafitz, currently sitting in 22nd in the high jump, and junior Kolya Markov-Riss, currently sitting in 26th in the 800m. Selections beyond the top 20 are possible to fill the field in case of scratches.
