LUDLOW, Mass. – The 15th-ranked Amherst men's tennis team fell to the 14th-ranked Bowdoin College Polar Bears by a score of 6-3 to begin the Mammoths' 2023 spring season on Saturday at the Ludlow Tennis Center. The game began at 11 a.m.

Amherst's record is now 0-1 (0-1 in NESCAC) for the season. The Mammoths will next take on the 26th-ranked Colby College Mules at Ludlow Tennis Center on Sunday at 11 a.m.

MATCH HIGHLIGHTS:

* The Polar Bears earned a 2-1 lead after the round of three doubles matches

* Bowdoin won at the #3 singles spot by default after sophomore Kobe Ellenbogen was forced to withdraw

* The longest match of the afternoon took place at the #6 spot, in which Amherst came out on top in a third-set tiebreak.
