GILBERT, Ariz. – Amherst College junior Andreas Sillaste earned All-America honors in singles from the Intercollegiate Tennis Association for the third straight season after another stellar campaign that culminated with his deepest foray yet into the NCAA singles tournament.

All-America honors are awarded to all student-athletes who win their first-round match in the NCAA singles tournament, which Sillaste did for the third straight season with an upset of third-seeded Ruilin Feng of Emory. The unseeded Mammoth's run continued all the way to the semifinals and included another upset of eighth-seeded Alex Feies of Carnegie Mellon in the quarterfinals. Sillaste was the only non-senior to reach the semifinals of the tournament.

Hailing from Oulu, Finland, Sillaste was ranked seventh in the final ITA Division III rankings of the season after posting a singles record of 25-9. He earned First Team All-NESCAC honors in both singles and doubles, pairing with NESCAC Rookie of the Year Lukas Frangenberg to rank 12th in the nation in doubles.

A double major in economics and psychology, Sillaste was also awarded Academic All-District honors by College Sports Communicators.

Sillaste helped the Mammoths to a 13-6 record this season, the team's 21st straight season with a winning dual meet record, as the Mammoths reached the semifinals of the NESCAC tournament and finished the year ranked 17th in the nation.
