REDLANDS, CA. – The #21 Amherst College men's tennis team convincingly defeated the #27 Redlands University Bulldogs at the Verdieck Tennis Courts on Saturday afternoon with a score of 8-1. 

Amherst's record improves to 3-3 (0-2 in NESCAC) for the season. Up next: The Mammoths will return to the East Coast to resume their season. They will take on the Nichols College Bisons at home on Amherst's outdoor courts if the weather permits. The game will take place at 1pm ET on Saturday, March 25.

HIGHLIGHTS:

• The Mammoths earned a 2-1 lead after the round of doubles matches
• Amherst swept all six singles matches as they did in the game before versus #17 Chapman
• Sophomores Edred Opie and Sujit Chepuri both lost the first set but fought back to win in three sets
