3/14/2023 8:54:00 PM

LUDLOW, Mass. – The #21 Amherst College men's tennis team beat the Rhodes College Lynx with a score of 5-0 at 8:30am at the Biszantz Family Tennis Center in Claremont, CA.

Amherst's record improves to 1-2 (0-2 in NESCAC) for the season. Up next: The Mammoths will next take on the Sewanee University of the South Tigers at the Marks Tennis Stadium in Los Angeles, CA. The game is scheduled to take place on Wednesday at 1pm ET, but this exact time is subject to change depending on the weather.

HIGHLIGHTS:
  • The teams played the round of singles first (rather than after doubles) because of the rain that created unsafe, slippery court conditions after around an hour of play
  • First-year George Chaidemenos was the first to secure an Amherst win. He won in straight sets without dropping a game.
