#18 Amherst edges #23 Colby, 5-4, in CSA Summers Cup Quarterfinal

HARTFORD, Conn. — On Friday evening, the #18 Amherst College men's squash team narrowly overcame the #23 Colby College Mules (who are now 7-12 for the season) with a 5-4 win in the CSA Summers Cup Quarterfinal on the George A. Kellner Squash Courts.

Amherst's record now stands at 13-6 for the season. Up next: the Mammoths' quarter-final win progresses them to the semi-finals of the last team tournament of the season. Amherst will face the #22 Hobart College Statesmen (who are 11-9 for the season) at 6pm on Saturday at the George A. Kellner Squash Courts in Hartford, CT.

GAME HIGHLIGHTS:
Amherst's wins came across the order at the #3-#5 spots and the #8-#9 spots
Four of Amherst's five wins were convincing straight-set victories 
Sophomore Abhimanyu Gupta's match lasted the longest; his four-set win at the #5 spot took 44 minutes to complete
