#15 Amherst wins last match of the season versus #13 Williams, 6-3, to finish 5th in CSA Kurtz Cup

PHILADELPHIA, Penn. — On Sunday afternoon, the #15 Amherst College women's squash team beat its rivals, the #13 Williams College Ephs (who are now 13-10), with a score of 6-3 at the Penn Squash Center. The game concludes the Mammoths' team matches for the 2022-23 season and awards them fifth place in the CSA Kurtz Cup.

Amherst's season record concludes at 14-6. Up next: the final event of the season is the 2022-23 CSA Individual Championships. A group of the highest-performing players this season will be selected to compete in the competition that will take place at the Specter US Squash Center in Philadelphia, PA. Times, player selections, and details TBD.

Amherst wins came at the #1-#4 spots and the #6 and #7 spots
Three of the Mammoths' wins involved recoveries from losing the first sets. Senior Daksha Pathak, junior Lauren Weil, and first-year Morgan Chaudhary recovered from losing the first set to win the next three in each of their matches.
Sophomore Tanmai Pathak was the first to finish her match. She won in just 15 minutes at the #6 spot.
