SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Three Mammoths qualified for the New England Division III Championships as the Amherst College women's track and field team competed at the Triangle Classic on Saturday at the Springfield College Field House.

There was no team scoring in the meet in which a small contingent of Mammoths had a final chance to qualify before Amherst competes in the New England Division III Championships next weekend (Feb. 24-25) in Boston.

MEET HIGHLIGHTS:

* First-year Myeh Medina finished second in the 60m hurdles, clocking a time of 9.61 seconds to qualify for New Englands.

* Senior Annelise Romero posted a mark of 10.75m in the triple jump to finish sixth and qualify for New Englands for the fourth time in her career.

* Junior Bridget Cassata cleared 3.15m in the pole vault, setting a personal-best mark to qualify for her first New England Championship with an eighth-place finish in the event.
