BOSTON – The Amherst College 4x400m relay squad posted its best time of the season as the women's track and field team competed in the David Hemery Valentine Invitational on Friday at the Boston University Track and Tennis Center.
The Mammoths competed in some of the long sprints and distance events, facing some of the nation's elite representing all three NCAA divisions and beyond.
Most of the women's action took place today with the exception of the distance medley relay, which is scheduled for 2 p.m. tomorrow (Saturday, Feb. 11). The rest of the Mammoths will be competing in the Middlebury Field and Track Meet beginning at 11 a.m.
MEET HIGHLIGHTS:

Eliza Cardwell, first-year
Myeh Medina, junior
Trintje Nydam and sophomore
Casie Eifrig clocked a time of 3:55.74 to win their heat and finish 23rd in an event that was won by Division I Princeton. That time currently stands as 16th-best in Division III this season.
* First-year
Mads Rabb qualified for the New England Division III Championship in the 400m, posting a time of 1:00.66 that was good for 140th place.

Allison Lounsbury qualified for New Englands in her third event this season, clocking a time of 10:22.10 to finish 234th in the 3000m. Sophomore
Sophia Price was just behind with a personal-best mark of 10:22.43.
