NEW LONDON, Conn. – The Amherst College women's squash team opened the season with a sweep of NESCAC rival Connecticut College, dropping only a single game en route to a 9-0 win on Saturday at the Luce Field House.
The Mammoths, ranked 13th in the nation in the CSA rankings, swept the 27th-ranked Camels (0-2) for the fourth straight season.
The Mammoths are back in action on Sunday (Nov. 19) at noon, facing ninth-ranked Cornell in the home opener at the Davenport Squash Courts.

Alex Brown won at the top of the lineup with an 11-6, 11-7, 11-1 win over Rachel Matamoros.
* Junior
Tanmai Pathak was the most dominant Mammoth of the day, dropping only six points en route to an 11-2, 11-3, 11-1 victory at the second spot in the ladder.
* First-years
Quincy Cline,
Yana Sharma and
Suraiya Khan Suri were all victorious in their collegiate debuts, each picking up three-game sweeps.
