HADLEY, Mass. -- Amherst College first-year forward Precious Novidzro (Old Akrada, Ghana) has been chosen as the New England Small College Athletic Conference Women's Soccer Player of the Week for play ending Sunday, October 29th.

Novidzro scored the only goal with 8:25 remaining in the contest to lift Amherst past Trinity, 1-0, on Tuesday. The rookie also scored the game-clinching goal with 2:43 remaining in a 3-1 win over Tufts in the NESCAC Quarterfinals. 

Novidzro is third on the Mammoths in points with 15 (6 goals, 3 assists) points this season. 

The Mammoths, 14-1-1, will host the semifinals and championship of the NESCAC Tournament this weekend. Amherst will play Wesleyan in the first semifinal at 11 a.m.
