BOSTON – First-year Jordan Harrison won the 60m dash and senior Kelechi Eziri won the triple jump to highlight action for the Amherst College men's track and field team at Middlebury's New England Small College Invitational on Sunday on the banked turns of the Track at New Balance.

Team scores were not tallied in the meet, which featured all 11 NESCAC schools in a tantalizing preview of April's conference championships.

The Mammoths are back in action on Saturday (Feb. 4), traveling to Medford for the Tufts Cupid Challenge beginning at 10 a.m.

MEET HIGHLIGHTS:

* Making his collegiate debut in the 60m dash, Harrison clocked a time of 6.95 seconds to win the event and qualify for the New England Division III Championships. Harrison has won his first two collegiate races after capturing the 200m crown at the Little Three Championships earlier this month.

* Eziri posted a season-best mark of 13.58m to win the triple jump and has now won each of the two triple jumps he has entered this season.

* First-year Noah Kanahele Harris finished fourth in the 60m hurdles in his first collegiate hurdles race, qualifying for New Englands with a time of 8.61 seconds.

* A trio of Mammoths punched their ticket to New Englands in the 800m. Sophomore Jack O'Hara finished 9th with a personal-best 1:55.47, first-year Will Nagy finished 15th in his collegiate debut at 1:57.20 and first-year Ben Davis was 17th with a time of 1:57.56 in his first collegiate 800m.

* First-year Cody Pierce qualified for New Englands with a season-best time of 50.68 seconds in the 400m, good for a 10th-place finish.

* Six Mammoths finished in the top 20 of the mile with two new New England qualifiers. Junior Ian Dopp finished 14th with a time of 4:22.05 and senior Aydin Williams was 15th in 4:22.32, both personal bests.
