SOUTH HADLEY, Mass. -- Nine different players scored a goal Tuesday night as the No. 11-ranked Amherst College field hockey team opened its 2022 season with a 10-0 road victory over Mount Holyoke.
Senior
Jackie D'Alleva led the scoring parade with two tallies while junior
Muffie Mazambani scored one goal and assisted on two others.

Gwen Allen,
Abbey Kays,
Paige DiBiase,
Maya Reiner and
Kat Mason all scored.
Beth Williamson registered two assists.
It was the largest margin of victory and the most goals scored in a single game by the Mammoths since October of 2015.
GAME HIGHLIGHTS:
* Sophomore
Abbey Kays opened the scoring just 2:08 into the game with an unassisted tally. The Mammoths scored twice in the final minute of the first quarter to double their lead from 2-0 to 4-0 as Allen scored off a tip-in of an Edelson pass and Mason scored off an assist from Williamson.

* Amherst had a 36-2 advantage in shots and a 7-1 edge in penalty corners in the game.
