HADLEY, Mass. -- Amherst College junior Abby Schwartz (Alpharetta, GA) has been selected as the New England Small College Athletic Conference Women's Soccer Player of the Week for play ending Sunday, September 11.

Schwartz totaled 10 points on four goals and two assists as the Mammoths opened the season 3-0-0. Schwartz was credited with the game-winning goals in wins over Springfield, 5-2, and at Smith, 2-1. Against the Pride, Schwartz scored twice and added an assist. Schwartz scored the opening goal and assisted Amherst's final tally in a 4-3 victory versus Middlebury.
