#2 Amherst Tops Thomas Terriers, 10-0

AMHERST, Mass. – Sophomore Micah Valadez Bush recorded a hat-trick and was one of seven Mammoths to score as Amherst dominated non-conference opponents, the Thomas College Terriers, on Sunday on Hitchcock Field, winning 10-0.

GAME HIGHLIGHTS:
* The first goal came after six minutes. Junior Ada Okorogheye recorded his third goal of the season by converting a penalty kick. Micah Valadez Bush was next to score for the Mammoths. His first goal of the game was from a set piece. Assisted by Senior Andrew Barkidjija, Bush ran past Thomas College's line of defense from the edge of the 18-yard box to glance the ball into the goal at the far post.

* The two teammates swapped roles for the next two goals. To make the score 3-0, Bush was involved to help set up a goal for Barkidjija to score. Three minutes later, Bush headed in Barkidjija's accurate cross. The final goal of the half came from Junior Declan Sung.

* It took just 54 seconds after the restart for Bush to seal his hat-trick - this time, Sophomore teammate Fynn Hayton-Ruffner provided the assist. Bush then returned the favor to set up Hayton-Ruffner's third goal in as many games.
Sophomore Eads Fouché was next to contribute to Amherst's win - an assist from First-year Ugnius Selvenis gave Fouché the opportunity to clinically fire a low shot into the corner for his first ever goal as a Mammoth. First-year Ioannis Hadjiyiannis scored the penultimate goal, before Eads Fouché's cross ricocheted off of a defender for a Thomas College own goal.
