Seven Mammoths named ITA Scholar-Athletes, Amherst earns All-Academic Team honors

TEMPE, Ariz. – The Amherst College men's tennis team was named an All-Academic Team by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) and seven Mammoths were named ITA Scholar-Athletes.

All-Academic Team honors are awarded to teams that maintain a team grade point average of 3.2, while student-athletes with a GPA of at least 3.5 are named ITA Scholar Athletes.

The Mammoths honored as ITA Scholar Athletes are:
Sujit Chepuri '25 from Minneapolis
Kobe Ellenbogen '25 from Ridgewood, New Jersey
Harris Foulkes '22, an economics major from Belmont, Massachusetts
Ed Opie '25 from Chippenham, England
Zach Ostrow '23, an economics and statistics double major from Menlo Park, California
Shaw Rhinelander '23, a political science major from Belmont, Massachusetts
Willie Turchetta '22, a computer science and mathematics double major from Pound Ridge, New York

Under the direction of Head Coach Todd Doebler, the Mammoths posted their 17th consecutive winning season in 2021-22 with an 11-8 record and a 6-4 mark in NESCAC play.
