The Amherst College men's track and field team kicked off the weekend on Friday in action at the Silfen Invitational at Connecticut College and the Williams Invitational.
Decathletes are competing over two days at Williams while the rest of the Mammoths are at Connecticut College with elite distance races and field events on Friday's schedule. Most distance races include additional heats that will run on Saturday with results from both days combined. The fastest heats in those events ran on Friday so the top times are not expected to be challenged.
Saturday's action begins at 9 a.m. at Connecticut College and 11 a.m. at Williams.
