LUDLOW, Mass. – The Amherst College men's tennis team was topped by the #4 Middlebury College Panthers on Saturday, 6-3. This was the 5th straight victory for the Panthers, and extends their record to 8-2.
The Mammoths began by facing a 1-2 deficit after the 3 doubles matches, with a win for Amherst coming at the #2 doubles spot from Edred Opie '25 and Harris Foulkes '22. Amherst then took 2 of the six singles matches, at the #4 and #2 spots, to result in a 6-3 defeat. The Mammoths fought hard in a dual match with a score line of 3-3 at one point.

The Mammoths have a rapid turnaround and will aim to bounce back from Saturday's result when they host rivals, the #7 Williams College Ephs on Sunday at 12pm. This will take place either on the Amherst College outdoor tennis courts, or indoors again at Ludlow tennis center, depending on the weather conditions. A decision regarding the location of the match will be made between coaches in the morning.
