MEDFORD, Mass. – The Amherst College women's track and field team set a new school record in the 4x400m relay on Saturday to highlight action at the Tufts National Qualifying Meet at the Gantcher Center.

Katie Lingen followed up on their New England Division III Championship from last weekend with an Amherst indoor record time of 3:53.51 to win the event. The relay squad broke the previous mark of 3:54.55 set in 2020 by a group that included Madden, Jaramillo and Lingen.
The Amherst foursome's time ranks fifth nationally in Division III as results come in on the final day of qualifying before the NCAA Division III Indoor Championships. Selections will be announced tomorrow (Sunday, March 6) with the top 20 times in each individual event and top 12 teams in each relay qualifying for the national championships on March 11-12 in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
